The Betty M. Condra School for Education Innovation is focused on helping students achieve their potential in life by eliminating roadblocks to academic achievement, increasing self-esteem and encouraging the development of character and social-emotional skills. The Condra School will provide students with the tools necessary for academic success and life skills that will allow them to excel in a traditional public-education setting.
The Condra School will provide intensive and highly-specialized individualized instruction to all students based on their strengths and creative abilities. Through multi-sensory instruction and within a supportive environment, The Condra School will begin to close the reading gaps resulting from learning differences, economic disadvantage and/or other issues. Using vigilant assessments, students will get the appropriate instruction, modification and/or accommodations they need in order to maximize their academic performances. Students will be empowered to advocate for their own educational needs and be prepared to transition to a traditional public school with success and confidence.
Be brave. Be kind. Question everything. Change the world.
THE CONDRA School Motto
The Condra School focuses on providing a supportive and positive educational experience for all students, including those with language-based learning differences, ADD, ADHD, and those struggling to read. NO DIAGNOSIS REQUIRED!
Multi-sensory instruction is provided to all students.
The Condra School utilizes the Scottish Rite Take Flight program and related interventions for reading instruction for students. Take Flight addresses five components of effective reading instruction. Those components include phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary and reading comprehension. This program is beneficial to all students and particularly beneficial to students with Dyslexia and ADHD.
For math, the school utilizes Singapore Math. This meets the needs of students who struggle with math as a result of language based learning differences.
Unstructured play along with programs that emphasize creativity are part of each day. All programs align with TEKS (Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills).
